Veteran Hotelier Peter Alatsas Visits LRJJ
Written by Marius Vlad, Student Activities Manager/Hospitality Lecturer of Les Roches Jin Jiang.
Shanghai, China – On Friday, March 28th 2014, a veteran hotelier with over 25 years of experience in the hotel and tourism industry visited Les Roches Jin Jiang International Hotel Management College.
Peter Alatsas, has traveled to some of the most exotic locations in the world. It was during these travels that he delved into world philosophies, and world culture.
In his latest book, ‘Diplomats and Doormats’, Peter has selected and presented a collection of essays and think pieces, and intertwines his unique world perspective with philosophy and management theories. In so doing, he makes this book not only an enjoyable read but also a must-have for business managers.
Peter met the HA I A1 and HA I A2 students during their ‘Introduction to the World of Hospitality’ course. He shared from his work and life experience and he gave some ideas about what it takes to be a general manager in the hospitality industry.
The students participated actively in this open class; they asked various questions about the world of hotels and specific questions about the book chapters. At the end of the sessions Peter offered autographs and promised to come back to visit our school and to talk to our students on the next occasion.
